What parroting the “world’s largest democracy” tagline actually does though is mask and excuse the reality of the rising autocratic and violent Hindu Nationalism that has gripped Modi’s India
Very good article. It's sad to see how the leaders like Erin O'Toole are not talking about human rights violations happening in India. Was sad to see how activists like Nodeep Kaur and Shiv Kumar were treated in police custody. This is worrisome when you see happening in "World's largest democracy". I don't know if it's still a democracy.
Another great piece. India is currently run by RSS terrorists who believe in a fascist ideology. They have infiltrated all major institutions, including the police force, judiciary and media. They have committed gross human rights violations, including the 2020 anti-Muslim pogrom in Delhi.
