What Is Baaz?
Baaz is home to opinions, ideas, and original reporting for the Sikh and Punjabi diaspora.
We are a collection of journalists, activists, writers, historians, doers, thinkers, and more from around the world sharing, discussing, and debating issues impacting our diverse community.
If you believe in the power of unapologetic storytelling and providing a platform for exploring our own community narrative then please consider paying for a subscription.
Your dollars/pounds/euros/rupees will go towards professional editing and publishing original reporting that you will find nowhere else.
Interested In Making An Opinion Submission?
Please submit your commentary, analysis, or opinion piece for consideration by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Pieces must be in the 600-800 words range, exceptions are made on a case by case basis. Contributors must include their credentials and are expected to have expertise or a connection to the topic they are writing about.
We do not publish pieces from anonymous writers. Exceptions can be made, but only in extreme cases.
We prioritize submissions that are topical.
We are a small but scrappy team, so please allow us at least 48 hours to respond to your submission.
Are You A Freelance Journalist With A Pitch?
Due to the generosity of subscribers and supporters, we have a modest budget to pay for original reporting. If you have an idea that you would like to pitch please email email@example.com for consideration.
